Mary Eleanor Trombley

Marie Kuchenmeister -  I am nominating my mom Mary Eleanor Trombley for the World’s Freshest fan. She has been an Olga’s lover since the late 70’s when she worked at Jacobsens in Birmingham. I have been dragged (as a child. No complains from me now) to every location in the Metro Detroit area, including remembering each location in Lakeside Mall with clarity. I think we were at the one with stucco walls A LOT. A few years back, she met the real Olga and got a picture. It is practically the highlight of her life. She has the same thing every time, Three Cheese, extra onions, small salad, extra feta, ice tea. Then she steals my fries and/or snackers. Now that I have kids, we get to have three generations of happy Olga lovers (and all my kids order the three cheese, too). Recently she returned from an extended trip around the country and she almost hijacked to car to get me to go to Olga’s FIRST! befor home. She couldn’t wait.

Julie Esris

Julie Esris

Julie Esris - I’m the World’s Freshest Fan! I live on the East Coast. I grew up in Pennsylvania (I now live in NYC) and there used to be two Olga’s, but then they shut down. No matter how much time passed, I never forgot the taste of the bread. In 2000, it had been 7-8 years since I’d eaten at an Olga’s, but then I worked at a camp in Michigan. I was so glad to discover that there were Olga’s all over Michigan. Every summer at camp when I had time off, I would spend a day in Grand Rapids and get Olga’s. And I would order 20 pieces of bread for takeout. Still not convincing? When I visited some friend in Los Angeles and there used to be in Olga’s in the area, I made my friends take me out there (it was over an hour away from where they lived) for lunch. And I of course ordered 20 pieces of bread for takeout. And when they visited me in NYC, I made them bring me some Olga’s bread. I reimbursed them for the bread and the gas that they had to use to get there and back. – Thursday June 2, 2011 posted pic also!!!

Hey Olga’s Kitchen Fans!!! As promised, I am here to keep you in the loop about our new Olga’s Market Fresh Grille opening in Royal Oak at 30332 Woodward Ave., April 11, 2011.  This is our second, Olga’s Market Fresh Grille and we are really excited to see what you think!

Olga’s Market Fresh Grille in Royal Oak

I’m not sure how many of you have had the pleasure of dining at the Olga’s Market Fresh Grille at the Great Lakes Crossing Outlets in Auburn Hills, MI., but I recently took my first trip there. So, I am here to give you and idea of what to expect from the new location in Royal Oak.

Olga’s Market Fresh Grille has the feeling of a contemporary open air market, offering the same great secret recipe Olga Bread and many of the classic favorites enjoyed at Olga’s Kitchen. The concept is based on a  fast-casual model with a heavy focus on fresh ingredients and a stylish contemporary ambiance.

Olga’s Market Fresh Grille delivers a completely new dining experience for all Olga’s lovers. When you enter the restaurant you’re greeted by three very large, very cool digital menu boards. The food looks fantastic on the screens but smells even better as the aromas pour out of our open kitchen located near the register where you order your food. The open kitchen allows you to see your favorite Olga’s meals prepared right in front of you; watch as our made-to-order secret recipe flat bread is transformed from dough to pure sweet pillowy bread perfection!  After placing your order, choose from comfy booths, cozy tables or chic bar top seating. Then simply enjoy pleasant conversation in a modern atmosphere while waiting for your meal to be brought out to you shortly after. We provide all of our service just for you stopping in and ordering; no need to tip or clean up. You’re in and out with no muss, no fuss. If you’re not in for a full meal Olga’s Market Fresh Grille is the perfect place to grab a Small Plate (keep reading for mouth-watering details) and our delicious Orange Cream Cooler while kicking back and surfing the web on our free WIFI.

Now for the food! Olga’s Market Fresh Grille provides perfect portions with a fresh new value. There are some specific menu items unique only to Olga’s Market Fresh Grille including our signature BBQ Chicken Club, two additional Market Fresh Salads and a $2.99 Small Plate menu with items like Arugula Salad, Toasted Ravioli and Sweet Potato Fries - I had the AMAZING sweet potato fries! For those who are sharing or can’t decide on just one, you can order any three small plates for just $7.99. You can also choose to pair up some of your Olga’s favorites with our Market Fresh Pairs for $6.99.

The Royal Oak Olga’s Market Fresh Grille offers convenient car-side delivery and as always, kids eat for just $2.99 all day every day.  Orders to Olga’s Market Fresh Grille on Woodward in Royal Oak can be placed by calling the restaurant at 248-549-0100 or online at www.olgasfresh.com.
