As a kid growing up in Michigan, my mother and I would go eat at Olga's everyweekend. Either after church or while shopping at the mall on a Saturday. It was always my favorite place to eat. I would always get the same thing everytime and I loved the Orange Coolers. Now, living in Kentucky, everytime we go back to Michigan to visit, Olga's is the first place we have to go eat. Sometimes I crave it so bad and just live too far to go. I really do miss that place.

Miranda Rader
Winchester, Kentucky

Miranda, we couldn't be happier to be a part of your childhood memories. Did you know you can now order many of your favorites online for shipment, including Olga's Kitchen Secret Recipe Spinach Pie and Olga's Oven Fired Flat Bread...the next best thing to hot, grilled to order Olga Bread? Just visit our newly expanded online store.

There are too many experiences to put down, but let me say that Olga's is always a treat. As a Native Texan who lives in Michigan, my family enjoys eating at your Briarwood Mall location whenever we are in town to do some shopping. My wife and 3 children are all Native Michiganders and love the Cream of Broccoli soup. My introduction to your restaurant was in 1996 at your former Austin, TX location. I had moved my wife (then fiancee) to The Texas Hill Country and while at one of the malls in Austin, she spied it and told me we HAD to eat there. So we did and I've been hooked ever since. We plan on relocating back to Texas in the next year or so, and will miss your wonderful food and just as wonderful service. If you do decide to open another Texas location, I think that downtown San Antonio or one of its many malls would be more suited than Austin (no bias or anything). We look forward to many more meals until we do make "The Move"

Charlie Alvarez

Charlie, thanks for the great post. We look forward to seeing you weekly, until you move. ;-) Once you move, don't forget that you can order some of your favorites, including Olga's Original Recipe Spinach Pie and our Cream of Broccoli Soup from our online store and we'd be more than happy to ship it to you, in Michigan or Texas.

Olga's Kitchen has been a favorite resturant of mine since the day you opened in the Southland Mall.
We have been in the state of Minnesota for 24 years now, but do get back to Michigan to visit family periodically.
My latest experience brought us to Michigan under very sad circumstances. It was a time to bury my father. We made it a point to stay an extra day just so we could spend time with family and make sure there was enough time for a visit to Olga's.
I truly love the spinach pie and my favorite ham and cheese Olga with mustard.
It would be wonderful to see Olga expand to Minnesota, but the anticipation of an Olga after a long trip seems to help the journey become complete.
I hope to get back very soon under much happier circumstances.
My thanks for the comforting food and a time of remembering in a very sad time of life.

Alice
Brooklyn Center, Mn.

Alice, we are so sorry for your loss. Glad that we were able to bring you some comfort during a very difficult time. We look forward to serving you again, under much better circumstances. In the meantime, did you know you can now enjoy Olga's Kitchen Original Recipe Spinach Pie at your home in Minnesota. That's right, you can now have our Spinach Pie shipped to you. Simply visit our newly expanded online store. Again, thank you for taking the time to write to us. We look forward to serving you soon.

Olga's Kitchen on Harper at 9-1/2 Mile Road, SCS MI.

Always a warm reception. Clean, Clean, Clean, restaurant and washroom.

Smiling, prompt and attentative wait personnel. Today Kelly was our waitress. Her service was proper, polite and gracious.

Lolly Gerhardstein
St. Clair Shores, MI

Lolly, thank you so much for the very kind words. We look forward to serving you often at our restaurant in St. Clair Shores.

We are former Michiganders who absolutely miss our weekly get togethers at Olga's. We had many a meal at Olga's while dating, and came to love all the food that you offer.

We desperately miss Olga's and can honestly state that there is nothing, absolutely nothing down here in South Florida that can even remotely compare with Olga's food wise at all. We so wish you would open a franchise here so that people can enjoy the great food that is so missing in these parts.

Richard and Suzanne Goldman
Coral Springs, FL

Richard and Suzanne, trust me by this time in February in Michigan, I wish we had a restaurant in South Florida, too. ;-) At this time, however, we have no plans for any restaurants down your way. We do hope we have the opportunity to serve you when/if your travels bring you back to Michigan for a visit. Thanks for taking the time to share your memories with us.

My best friend worked at the Olga's in St. Clair Square while we were in high school. Over 27 years later we still meet there occasionally to have dinner.

Cindy
Collinsville, IL

Cindy, only occasionally? ;-) Seriously, though, thanks for sharing. It's always great to hear from "old" friends. Please let us know the next time you plan on visiting us at St. Clair Square.

I am from Detroit and the only restaurant I truly miss from my childhood is Olga's. The last time I was there was 2 yrs ago.. and I bought a few frozen spinach pies.. Please make them available for the online store!! Thanks

DANIELLE
WORCESTER, MA

Danielle, thank you so much for the really kind words. Keep checking our online store because you should soon be able to order our Original Recipe Spinach Pie in a convenient, frozen package, as well as many other Olga's Kitchen favorites. We're busy working out the details now. In fact, I'll try to remember to email you as soon as it's available. But, just in case, keep checking back...

I never had a bad meal or bad service at Olga's. I <<REALLY>> miss getting the Cream of Broccoli soup, the Spinach pie, and ESPECIALLY <<THE BREAD>>!!! Please consider reopening in western New York!

Suzanne K Wyatt
Henrietta, NY

Wow, Suzanne, thank you so much for the very high praise. Unfortunately, we have no plans to open any restaurants in western New York right now. Bu, that could change, of course. In the meantime, I do hope that before the end of 2008 I'll have good news to tell you about how you can order our Cream of Broccoli Soup and Original Recipe Spinach Pie for delivery. Keep checking back...and we look forward to serving you in the future, especially if travel brings you close to one of our restaurants.

TRENTON, IL

Jim & Carol, Thank you for the very kind words. Our Frenchtoasted Cheesecake truly is New York style cheesecake as you've never seen it before. We're glad you enjoyed it. We look forward to serving you, and your son, very soon.

Working there - I spent 3 years there and never grew tired of the taste! It was my first job and Jim Wade was my manager. I have lived in North Carolina for the past 14 years but when I recently went to visit MI, I stopped in at Olga's. Congratulations Jim, I here you are still with the company! One of you guest comments on this site was right, Cary is booming and needs an Olga's! Thanks for the memories.

Joanna Evans (formerly Spalletta)
Cary, NC

Joanna, thanks for the trip down memory lane. We look forward to serving you the next time travel brings you back to Michigan.

Every time I go there it is a wonderful experience. The people who work there are so nice and pleasant. Every chance I get I love going there and bringing home their frozen Spinach pies. Please let me know where and how to get your coupons. Thanks Ann

Ann Schneider
Waterloo, IL

Ann, It's great to hear that you enjoy savoring your favorite Olga food at our restaurants, as well as in the comfort of your own home. And, it's a great idea to keep Olga's Kitchen Original Recipe Spinach Pie in your freezer...you never know when a craving may hit you, or unexpected company stops in for a visit. Did you know we also sell Olga's Premium Dressing For Salad by the bottle? And, remember, you can always print out a Single Double Triple Coupon from the Coupon Central page of our site. We look forward to serving you soon...

Every visit home to Michigan to visit my daughter invovles several trips to Olga's. As any respectable addict, I got my daughter "hooked" at an early age and she calls me to tell me every time she's at Olga's. I feel inadequate not knowing that new menu items have been there since 2004. Please expand faster!

Shonna C.
Cape Corla, Florida

Shonna, sounds like you are due for a visit to your daughter. Afterall, now that you have her hooked, shouldn't you be able to enjoy your favorites at Olga's together? ;-) We look forward to serving both of you very soon. P.S. We do hope she's calling you often.

So I lived in michigan for 6 years when I moved there at the age of eight. I probably had some of the best times at olgas kitchen and me and my best friend Jessica went out to eat there on a regular basis. Now that I am sixteen and living in new york its kind of hard to eat at olgas kitchen seems aso there are none. I wish I hadn't moved to new york but it was my parents fault. :P Build an olgas kitchen in Syracuse, NY. Its the least you could do! Your BLT's are my favorite and i miss them so much :[

Lizzy
Cicero, New York

Lizzy, we miss you, too. Make sure you stop in for a BLT the next time you come to Michigan to visit your old friends. We hope you're enjoying New York...it's not Michigan but it's still a great place to live. ;-)

Since my daughter was a little girl (she is now 27) Olgas has been her favorite place to eat, we have hundreds of memories.
The spinach pie has always
been her favorite. She always orders two.
This is a favorite luncheon spot for my sister, niece and daughter.

kathy green
taylor, mi

Wow, Kathy, we are truly honored to have been a part of your family memories for so many years. We look forward to many more happy times together.

I had a long day with the kids and I really needed a get away and Olga's Kitchen Twelve Oaks really provided a tranquil enviroment that helped me unwind. The service was impecable. My monthly visits really hit the spot when I'm in the need of a relaxing and fun dinning experience!

Ashlee Yeardly

Ashlee, glad we could provide a relaxing oasis for you from the daily grind. But, I can't help wondering why you're not thinking of yourself more often than just once a month. Surely, we'd love to see you at our Twelve Oaks more than that. ;-) And, keep an eye out for a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT about another Olga's Kitchen in the Novi area, opening late summer/early fall '07.

I first was introduced to Olga's when a friend who was from Michigan took me to your restaurant in Lakewood, CA and it was love at first bite. When that restaurant closed, I made a point of stopping by your Thousand Oaks restaurant anytime I headed up the coast. Now that restaurant has closed. I agree with another fan that the Pasadena or Glendale area would be a perfect fit for your restaurant. I hope to see you back in Southern California soon.

David Ikeda
Claremont, CA

Thank you for the very kind words, David, and for following us around California. I hope we'll have the opporutunity to serve you, again, in the future.

I am a 19 year old college student at the University of Ky. I used to live in Michigan but moved to Ky in 04 after my Dad got transferred through his job.

I used to eat at Olga's with friends and family all of the time. I am begging that someone, somehow, opens one here in Lexington, Ky!!!!

The food is delicious, affordable, unique, and appealing to everyone! I can only imagine the business that Olga's would make just off of the poor and starving college students alone!!

We love Panera and the Pita Pit but I keep telling everyone that nothin' is like Olga's!

Lauren

Lauren, Thanks. We couldn't have said it any better...

All of my experiences at Olgas were great and then I moved to Minnesota and discovered that there are no Olgas here. Woodbury (a suburb of St. Paul) would be a great place for Olgas. I sure hope that you will open an Olgas here.

Carole Currier
Woodbury, MN

Carole, thanks for the kind words. No plans, yet, for any restaurants in Minnesota. Please stop by and visit us if travel brings you back to Michigan for a visit.

In my house growing up going back to school was a big deal because each child (there were three of us) got a special day with mom to do our back to school shopping and to go out to eat lunch. When we did our shopping at Twelve Oaks Mall, this meant stopping at Olga's Kitchen to eat lunch. Yum. I live in WI now and am disappointed that I can't get Olga's bread here and the orange drink too. Maybe you could add your bread and the mix for your orange drink to the things you sell online! I know I would buy them! Thanks for the memories...-H. Hammond

hilary hammond

Hilary, thanks for sharing your great childhood memory/family tradition. Stay posted...I can't make any promises, however, we're hoping to have an announcement about the "next best thing" to our hot, made-to-order Olga Bread, which of course, is available Only at Olga's.

Favorite experience is eating at Olga's every time we come back to Michigan and Ohio. Your food is fantastic! When our family comes out here to visit us they pack Olga's in a cooler and bring on the plane for us.

Bobbi
Surprise, Arizona

Thanks, Bobbi. Maybe the next time you visit from Arizona you can bring us the warmth and sunshine (especially during the winter months? ;-) Of course, we'll be happy to keep serving you your favorite Olga food each and every time you visit.

I discovered Olga's on my first trip to Lansing a few years ago, and every time I come to visit my best friend we have to go to an Olga's, preferably before we hit her house. :)
I wish you would come to the Seattle area, because I would help advertise the goodness that is an Olga here.

Thanks for the yummy food!

Amy V
Everett, WA

Amy, Thanks for the offer. But, I'm sorry to say that we don't, at this time, have any plans for an Olga's Kitchen in Seattle. However, next time you're in Lansing visiting your friend, make sure you stop by and check out the newest Olga's Kitchen in the Lansing area at Frandor Shopping Center.

Working in Birmingham in 1973 and going to the original? Olga's Stand in a downtown? location. I can not remember the name of the place but it had several small shops. I was fascinated by the roasting meat they cut for each order. Still eat only the Original Olga.

Jeannene Sauve Kirchner
Holly, MI 48442

Jeannene, that was The Continental Marketplace in Downtown Birmingham. We're still in Downtown Birmingham (on South Old Woodward Ave, just south of Maple), not far from where The Continental Marketplace used to be. We look forward to serving you for many more years to come.

I remember when Olga's Kitchen used to be in Heritage Park Mall in Midwest City; and The Crossroads Mall in Oklahoma City. (I used to work at both locations!) and I can't even begin to tell you how much I really wish Olga's Kitchen would seriously consider about returning back to Midwest City, Norman, and Oklahoma City!
The food was just absolutely OUTSTANDING! especially your fried chicken Olga!!. There are so many new businesses and restaurants coming to Midwest City, OK. ''Please'' consider coming back! I know you all never had a store in Norman, OK. but if you would ever consider opening a store in Norman
try opening one in Sooner Mall. OLGA'S KITCHEN...
PLEASE COME BACK SOON!! I DEARLY LOVE YOUR FOOD!!.

Steve McPhail

Wow, Steve, what can we say after such an impassioned plea like that other than, thank you very much. Unfortunately, we don't have any plans for any restaurants in Oklahoma at this time. We hope we have the opportunity to serve you a Fried Chicken Olga® Sandwich in the near future.

I'VE LOVED YOUR FOOD EVEN BEFORE YOU EXPANDED YOUR MENU. ONE QUESTION DO YOU EVER PLAN TO GO PUBLIC? I WOULD LOVE TO BUY YOUR STOCK IF YOU DO.

Alice Westbrook
Auburn Hills, MI

Thanks, Alice. No plans for going public at this time. However, we do hope that you've had an opportunity to check out our newest Olga's Kitchen at Auburn Square in Auburn Hills, located on the northeast corner of Walton and Squirrel

Olga's kitchen was my first job i ever had. It was in Southland Mall in Hayward, CA. I have only one memory that stands out and that was carving the lamb/beef off the scewer for the Olga's, it was fun and such tasty meat. I still have my orange nametag from that job which i was just showing to my teenagers. I live in Mesa, AZ. now and it would be a good place to start an Olga's kitchen. It is good to see Olga's is still around and still serving up some good food.

Thank you,
(Former Employee 1979)
Sherry Jean Cliff Roethig

Sherry
Mesa, AZ

Sherry, like we've said before, it's always nice to hear from our former staff members. We're glad to know that you have a great memory that stands out still after all these years. Please stop in and see us if travel ever brings you close to one of our restaurants.

Dear Olga's,

I loved your food! Are you ever coming back to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or the New York City area? Fondly, starved for Olga's!

BT

Bill Turner
Old Bridge, NJ

Dear BT, aka "Fondly, starved for Olga's", Unfortunately at this point in time, we have no immediate plans for any new restaurants in the PA/Nj/NY area. We hope to have the opportunity to satisfy your craving soon. Please look us up if you're ever in Michigan.

Close to 30 years ago, I was at the Olga's at Fairlane Town Center in Dearborn. (The mall had just opened that year) I was with my son, daughter, and some friends. It has always been one of our favorite places. In fact, I am eating a spinach pie for my lunch as I write this. Anyway...Olga HERSELF came into the restaurant. She was going from table to table talking to customers. When she got to our table I was just starting to eat an "Original". She said I must put Garlic Salt on it!! It was great, and, to this day, it's the only way I will eat an Original!!!

BARBARA GADDES
Center Line, MIchigan

Barbara, Wow, thanks for sharing such a great memory from almost 30 years ago. Having seen and heard Olga make that same recommendation to many people over the years, I'm glad to hear you are still listening to her advice. I'll be sure to pass the message along to Olga. P.S. Did you know you can buy our Original Recipe Spinach Pie at many markets throughout Michigan. It's conveniently packaged in a ready-to-bake tray so that it can go from the freezer to the oven. (Of course, you have to unwrap it, first.)

My husband and I grew up in MI. My family ate at Olga's in Lakeside Mall and at one in Bloomfield or Birmingham. We moved to CA 6 years ago. When we learned that there was one in Thousand Oaks, I made my husband drive two hours so that I could have snackers, salad, bread and curly fries! We would love to see you come out this way again. Until then we will make it our regular lunch spot when we are in MI.

Amy
Corona, CA

Amy, we can't wait to serve you all of your favorites at Olga's Kitchen when you regurn to Michigan for a visit. But, while here, why limit your enjoyment only to lunch. We'd be happy to serve you a great dinner, as well.

When my oldest son was small, his favorite food was "bread from Olga's" When we ate there, we would always buy an extra 6 pieces of bread to take home and freeze so he could enjoy it later. We were really sad when y'all left Pennsylvania, so I'm hoping the chain soon expands back into this area.

Lois Reibach
Blue Bell, PA

Lois, you should really be proud of your oldest son's great sense of taste. ;-) We hope to have the opportunity to serve you and your family again.

When I was pregnant with my daughter 13 years ago. All I craved was Olga's. My grandmother would take me there (Clearwater mall, FL) almost everyday. I lost my grandmother last year, and some of my favorite memories are about our Olga's lunches. Thank you for all the great Memories.

Meredith Dillard
Asheville, NC

Thank you, Meredith. We are glad to be such a big part of your favorite memories. We hope to make new great memories with you.

I love going every year with my cousins, you have great service.

Ani

Ani, we hope to see you and your cousins soon.

I am 45 years old.My mother and I often ate at olga's while I was a young adult. My son,who is 20 years old was brought up on olgas from a baby.My mother actually got him to eat spinach pie.To this day, both him and I, along with his girlfriend still find a home friendly feeling by eating there.
My FAVORIE memory is the fact that my son called my mother,Grandma Olga. Her name was Mary.I say this with emotion because my mother passed this year and my son's first thought was to take me to lunch there soon after.I thought I would not be able to,but was wrong. It felt like we had sat down at the family table.
No matter where I live,or how old I get,Olga's will always be a part of our FAMILY tradition.
Thanks,
Lynette

lynette socha
morley, mi

Lynette, we're honored to be a part of your family tradition and to have given you so many happy memories. I'm told that our Spinach Pie is the first vegetable many kids will eat. I know it was one of the first my kids ever ate, and enjoyed. We look forward to making more great memories with your family.

In the 80's I became addicted to Olga's at a now closed location at Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg, MD. Still living in MD, there aren't any Olga's close by. A few years ago, my husband and I were in San Diego,CA--we drove 160 miles out of our way, just to get an Original Olga. I've contacted Olga's Kitchen many different times about shipping food, however I was told they don't do that yet. I'd be the first on the list to buy a case! 18 years later, I STILL crave the taste!

Joanne McNamara
Berlin, MD

Wow, Joanne, thanks for sharing your craving with us. We are truly awed by your compliments. While I don't have any news on shipping our food to you yet, other than our Olga's Kitchen Premium Dressing For Salad which is available at our online store, we are definitely exploring ways to begin to offer some of our other products via internet ordering. Stay tuned...

I remember when my friend Aileen and I would go to Olgas every Sunday after church. We had our ritual and there was no stopping us. Then you closed. It was such a sad day for us. I can still remember what I would order, Mushroom Steak Monterey and the snackers. They are to die for. I hope that one day you will come back to Pleasanton, Ca or a surrounding city so that we can enjoy your delicious food again.

I was only about 20 years old when I would ritually go but I still think about you when I go to the mall. I'm 30 now and am still bragging about your food.

Hope your restaurant continues to grow and expand my way!

Always,
Rocio

Rocio Hoerz
Pleasanton, Ca

Rocio, thanks for the kind words and wishes. You're making us blush...but, please, do go on. Seriously, thanks so much. We hope to serve you your favorite Olga food in the future.

used to LOVE going to Oxford Valley or Willow Grove Malls just for lunch...was very sad to see that Olga's closed...
when my husband and I were dating, it was our favorite "Mall spot"...
hope you come back to the area soon!!!!

Cindy
PA

Cindy, thanks for the kind words. We also have some great memories from the Philadelphia area. We hope to make some new ones in the future, however, we have no plans for any new restaurants in Philly at this time.

I USED TO ALWAYS LOVE GOING TO THE OLGA'S LOCATION AT STONERIDGE MALL IN PLEASANTON, MY SENIOR YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL I ACTUALLY ATE THERE 2 OR EVEN 3 TIMES A WEEK FOR DINNER. I FOUND OLGA'S TO BE GREAT FOR ME AS I WAS DIETING. EVERY SINGLE VISIT I GOT THE CHICKEN CAESAR SALAD, THE PESANT SOUP WITH THE OLGA SNACKERS AND OF COURSE THE OLGA BREAD. IN 6 MONTHS I LOST 120 LBS AND OLGA'S PLAYED A BIG PART IN MY HEALTY DIET. PLEASE COME BACK TO THE BAY AREA AND I WOULD LOVE TO ORDER THE OLGA BREAD ONLINE.

Scott Daly
San Ramon, CA

Scott, great job on the weight loss. Glad we were able to be a part of it. I hope we have the opportunity to serve you again in the future, especially if travel brings you close to one of our restaurants.

My husband introduced me to Olga's Kitchen at the Oxford Valley Mall in Langhorne, PA when we dated. Then, when I became pregnant with our daughter, Olga's Original was one thing I craved. It closed down some years ago but I wish they would reopen in this area. There is nothing like it around here.

Kathy
Philadelphia, PA

Kathy, thanks for the kind words. Glad we could be a part of your family's history.

There used to be an Olga's in Racine, WI in the 1980's through the early 1990's. My parents used to take my brother and I there almost every weekend...it was our favorite restaurant. We were so sad when they closed their doors. I have so many fond memories of eating "olga dogs" and fries with my family! I hope that you open restaurants in more midwestern locations. I've thought about driving to Michigan or Southern Illinois, from where I now live in Chicago, to eat that bread.

Mandy
Racine, Wisconsin

Mandy, please let us know if you are going to visit us at one of our restaurants in Western Michigan or Southern Illinois. We look forward to making new memories with you.

I ate so many Olga's back in MI, that I was offered a job. Since being in Dallas TX for the past 20 years, I have awaited an Olga's here. I thought with so many ole Michiganders down here, one might of opened up by now. Any plans for helping the ole MI folks? Do you freeze and ship to Dallas? Help Help, miss my Olga's.

M Glime
Dallas, TX

Michelle, thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately, we have no plans to open any restaurants in the Dallas area. While currently I don't have any news on freezing and shipping an Olga across the country, please keep checking back from time to time.

I worked at Olga's in the late 80's (around 86'to'89)in Toledo OH, until I got married and moved to MI. I turned my husband onto the food when we were dating- he would always come in to see me with his friends. After we moved and started our family, we searched for Olga's to eat at..it was my main craving when pregnant :) I believe that is why my children all LOVE to eat Olga's-they came out loving it! There were no Olga's in our area..not too close, but it definitely was worth the drive, but made our visits less frequent for a while. Now not only are we thrilled that there is one opening up right near us..but I hope to start working there again, after 18 years! And..my son..now 17 wants to get a job there too. (I was his age when I worked there)we cant wait! It is and has always been our FAVORITE!
Vicky Racicot

Victoria (vicky) Racicot
rochester hills, mi

Vicky, we always love to hear when Olga's plays a role in a family's history. We look forward to creating many new memories with you and your family at our newest Olga's Kitchen in Auburn Hills.

I still talk about it today, how we used to love going to Olga's in Birmingham Michigan as kids. The store was set up cafeteria style and the lamb was carved as you walked through the line. It was great show. The bread is as addictive now as it was then! Thank you for great memories and great food!

Nancy C.

Nancy, while the Continental Market no longer exists in Birmingham, we do still have a restaurant in Downtown Birmingham, less than a block form old continental Market. We'd love to serve you an Original Olga® sandwich if you find yourself in the area, or near any of our restaurants.

I remember going to the Olga's at Eastland Mall in Harper Woods as a child. I would usually go with my mom as a treat when I went shopping with her. I would always get the Olga Dog and fries. I would skillfully eat the hot dog out of the middle of the bread...then I would eat the bread by itself as a treat at the end. Now my 2 year old LOVES Olgas too, except he is a fan of the Olga Burger and I am more than happy to take him there. I, however get the Asian Veggie Olga now...

Allison
Saint Clair Shores, MI

Allison, glad to see that our menu has grown with your tastes and your family. We look forward to many more years of great tasting memories.

I worked at Marty's Records across from the Olgas in Marketplace-Birmingham, MI. Olga and her sons worked along side of her in a small open space in the market. I would visit with them daily. I could eat Olgas Orig. all the time. I never get tired of it.

Julie McCreedy white
canton, mi

And we never get tired of hearing from our loyal friends and guests. By the way, Julie, we won't hold you to eating an Original Olga® sandwich all the time, but we do hope to have the opportunity to serve you often in the years to come.

I HAVE BEEN TO 2 OF YOUR
STORES IN LANSING MI. I AM FROM MI. I TELL THE GIRLS AT WORK ABOUT YOUR SANDWICHS.
YOU NEED TO EXPAND YOUR STORE TO THE FLORIDA AREA.
IN JACKSONVILLE, ORANGE PARK, FLEMING ISLAND AREA.
MY HUSBAND AND I DO MISS THEM ALOT.

THANK YOU

PAT RUTHERFORD
GREEN COVE SPRINGS, FL 32043

No, Pat, Thank You, for the kind words. Until we make it to Florida, we hope to serve you your favorite Olga sandwiches the next time you and your husband visit Michigan.

During the early '80's when I was in high school, my best friend and I would always eat at Olga's in Woodland Mall. We would share a spinach pie and salad, and have our own Original Sandwich. I now live in WI and every time I go home, we have to stop. My 9 year old niece thinks it is great fun to call me when she and her family are eating there, just to let me know what I missing.

Kelli Gibson
Greenfield, WI

Kelli, you have a smart niece. ;-) Seriously, we look forward to serving you an Original Olga® the next time you are visiting Grand Rapids.

I grew up in Ohio and remember eating the BEST food ever at Olgas. We moved away when I was in my early teens. I'm now 35 and living in the Washington, DC area. I was thinking about the best food I ever ate, and I remembered back to Olgas. I decided to look you up on the internet to see if you were still around. I was so pleased to see you're still here! But I'm VERY disappointed that you don't have any locations near me! Oh no! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE open a location in the Washington, DC/Baltimore area. We love to eat out around here! You'd do great! I miss you!

Jennifer
Columbia, MD

Wow, Jennifer, we're honored to included on the list of the "best food you ever ate". While we have no plans for any restaurants in the DC/Baltimore area, we do hope to serve you in the near future, especially if travel brings you back to Toledo for a visit.

My favorite Olga's Kitchen memory was when my Mom, my Grandma, my Dad, and I went there and I had their food for the first time. It was so delicious. I wanted to go again and again. I just loved all the variety and even the peanut butter and jelly kid's olga. The orange creme cooler is my favorite and the new chocolate shake is wonderful! Everyone loves Olga's in my family, who couldn't?

Amber B.
Walled Lake, Michigan

Amber, what a great question. I can't begin to think of someone that couldn't love us. ;-)

I was a student at Groves High School in Birmingham in the late 70's. Some friends and I used to drive the the Continental Market in Birmingham to have our lunch at Olga's. Olga herself was usually there serving up the lunch. I have great memories of my friends and I eating our lunch in the hallway of the market. Sometimes we would get a brownie for the ride back to school.

Patti Wagner
Bloomfield Hills, MI

Patti, thanks for sharing the great memory. We hope you're still making great Olga's memories at one of our nearby Birmingham/Bloomfield area restaurants.

I used to drive out to Thousand Oaks California to eat at your restaurant because my husband and I enjoyed your food so much. Your burger, your salads, your olga bread - delicious!
We need one in Pasadena or Glendale California. Lots of potential clients who need to experience your delicious food.

anne van singel
pasadena, california

Anne, thanks for making the drive with your husband to Thousand Oaks. I'd love to say we're opening in the Pasadena area; what a great business trip that would be. Seriously, though, we hope to be able to serve you your favorite Olga food in the near future.

Will Olgas ever open up more restaraunts outside of MI/Ohio/IL? I use to eat at the Fairview Heights Il restaraunt in ILLinois when I lived there and then there was one somewhat close to my home in PA I ate at, but it closed. I now live in Kansas and was shoping to have one here.

David Austin
Bel Aire, KS

David, while we have no plans for any restaurants in Kansas, we do hope to see you again if travel brings you back to Fairview Heights.

My local grocery store carries your Spinich Pie. It is my absolute Favorite. Everytime I go shopping I buy two of them so I can have my Olgas spinch pie any time. My 7 year old loves your Snackers, we have to get a carry out just so I can get some. Thanks, Andrea Podhola

Andrea D.M. Podhola
Riverview, MI

Andrea, you should be very proud to have raised such a smart seven year old who obviously has great taste in food. ;-) We look forward to serving both of you for many hears to come.

Please open one near me I'm really craving it. I moved here 8 months ago from Michigan. I'm going crazy because the only way I can have it if I travel to Michigan and the airfair is not cheep. I already bought 2 airfair tickets to Michigan just so I can have Olga's Kitchen.

Ann Lafferty
Greensboro, North Carolina

Wow, Ann, thanks for the kind words. Please let us know when you'll be here.

Going there with my mom and sister around Christmas time and having the chicken with the 3 cheeses and the little crackers with the spread on it. That's when it was at the Stoneridge Mall in Ca. and Southland Mall in Ca. This was something we did since the late 1970's early 80's.
I wish you would open another Olga's here in the bay area. I sure miss your food. There was nothing like it. It was always something to look forward to anytime going to the mall.

Sue Schaecher
Livermore, Ca

Sue, those little crackers are called Olga's Snackers™ and, you are right, there is nothing like our food...that's why we often say, "Only At Olga's". I hope we have the opportunity to make some new memories with you and your family.

We regularly enjoyed the vegetable olga with the yogurt style sauce and the salad with yummy feta. Our Olga's closed here in Pleasanton, Ca. and we can't get anything like it. I see I can order the salad dressing. How about marketing the "yogurt" sauce or Olga bread so we can make our own?

Rachael Shaffer
Pleasanton, Ca

Rachel, keep checking back. While I can't promise anything, you may see some additions to our online store in the future.

When Fairlane Mall in Dearborn opened in 1975/1976 I had my first Olga experience. I was 16 years old. That was my girlfriends and mine hang out at the mall! We would try and order something different all the time so we knew what the BEST food was. Every time I am at Olga's it brings me back memories of my old high school neighborhood friends!

Margaret DeSpirt
Novi, MI

Wow, Margaret, what a great memory. It's amazing what great food, made especially for you, can do for the soul. We look forward to the next time we take you down memory lane.

I lived in Ohio and Michigan in the late 70's and 80's and we loved going to Olga's. Do you think you would ever open a franchise in the New York area.

ann
brewster, new york

Ann, thanks for the kind words. It's certainly not out of the question, however, there are plans for a New York restaurant currently. We hope we get to serve you soon.

We first found Olga's in your Alton Square store in Illinois...My children grew up on Olga Dogs, and my Mom's favorite is the Olga Spinach Pie. Now, my mother is in a nursing home. We're able to take her out now and then, but the Alton location is just too far. We've all relocated farther away. I'd love to be able to enjoy the Olga experience with my now grown kids again. We only get to Olgas about once every couple of years... and we'd love for you to open a store in the popular and fast-growing community of Wentzville, MO.

Betsy
Wentzville, Mo

Betsy, thank you for the kind words and the great memories. While we have no plans for a restaurant in the Wentzville area right now, we do hope we get the opportunity to serve your grandchildren some Olga Dogs in the near future.

I used to work for Olgas Kitchen! I was a head waitress and a hostess. It was my very first job ever! I worked there for about two years. It was such a fun time and the food was so great that I never got sick of eating it. I am writing to let you know that I think you should consider bringing an Olgas Kitchen back into the Wisconsin area. I know I would LOVE to see it back, and I am sure others would as well.

Kiersten Sosa
Racine, Wi

Thanks for the very kind words, Kiersten. It's always great to hear from past staff members. While there are no plans for it right now, you never know, we might just end up back in Wisconsin.

I have been coming to Olgas in the Crossroads mall here in Portage Mi. for at least 15 yaers and it is and always be my and my girlfriend's favorite play to eat. I love the food and the service. You guys are the best!!!

Chad Laning
Kalamazoo, Michigan

Thanks, Chad. We look forward to many more years of happy memories.

While in college I used to be a hostes at an Olga's in Regency Mall in Racine, WI and not only did I love the people I worked with, I loved the food. After I moved away, I got a craving for a broccoli soup and snackers. Went home to find out, OLGA'S HAD CLOSED! I was so sad and have been craving them for years now. I am making a trip to Michigan next year and already have plans on stopping by an Olga's there and maybe even getting extra for the trip home. Best wishes to all and maybe Olga's can expand again in the future.

Kimberly Krebs
Wisconsin

Kimberly, thanks for the kind words. Please sure to let us know when and where you'll be visiting us in the coming year.

2 weeks ago at Olgas in Kalamazoo - spent lunch with friends - haven't been back to Michigan for 4 years - all I thought about was going to Olgas as I used to eat there once a week when I worked at KVISD in Portage. Miss the chicken olgas and spinich pie and salads - please build an Olgas in Florida near Disney.

Debby Kerr
Kissimmee, FL

Debby, it was great to serve you again, after so many years. We hope to serve you again, tho this time don't wait so long. ;-)

I remember working at Olga's Kitchen in Austin Texas in 1991. This is where I met my now husband! Donovan, my husband was the host and he trained me. It was love at first site!

We would love to have an Olga's Kitchen in Colorado Springs, Co.

debbie

Debbie, what a great story. We're thrilled to have been a part of something so wonderful. Keep checking back to our website, if we are coming to Colorade we'll surely announce it here. Best wishes to you and Donovan!

I use to go to the Olga's in Oxford Valley Mall in Langhorne Pa. We loved the Spinach Pie so much I would go there at least once a week and buy a whole Spinach Pie. Sometimes I thought it was becomming an addiction after it closed I tried to copy the recipe I must have made at least 50 but never got it quite right,we miss Olga's in Pa.

carole davis
Philadelphia, Pa

Carol, we're glad to hear how much you love our Original Recipe Spinach Pie. While I'm not making any promises, keep checking our website from time to time, you may one day be able to buy it at our online store. Or, even better, we might re-open in the Philadelphia area one day. Stay tuned...

My favorite experience was just being able to eat at Olga's period. I am so sad that the Olga's in Thousand Oaks, CA is no longer there. We used to eat there at least once or twice a week. I have been craving it for so long. Please bring an Olga's back to southern CA!!!

Cindy Ahles
Newbury Park, CA

Cindy, we sure hope we make it back there to serve you your favorite Olga food. Thanks for the kind words.

At the age of 6 years old I loved Olga's food. When I was pregnant with my first child my mom and I ate there every Wednesday afternoon. Olga's can get addicting. I work at my children's elementary school. Up until last spring every day it rained I went in for Broccoli Soup and baskets of Olga's Snackers for the entire office staff. It hasn't rained yet this year, but I know when it does we will at sit and look at each other wondering where we are going to get our Olga cravings filled now that the Thousand Oaks, California Olga's closed it's doors for good! Thanks for the years and years of great food and super memories. Now if I could just order Olga's Snackers online I owuld be a happy girl!!

Dawn Bloom

Dawn, thanks for all those years of great memories. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.

Every time I'm home in Michigan, Olga's is always the first place I eat. There used to be an Olga's in Thousand Oaks, about 45 minutes from where I live in Los Angeles, but I was so sad to find out that it closed! Any plans to open new restaurants in California? Regardless, I will always stop in when I'm back in Michigan!

Lindsey
Santa Monica, CA

Lindsey, we're looking forward to your next visit home. Unfortunately, there's nothing planned in CA right now, however, that could change. So, keep checking our website for new location announcements!

I used to LOVE going to Olga's Kitchen. There was one at the King of Prussia Mall in King of Prussia, PA years ago. I miss the Olga Bread. Any plans on coming back to PA???!?!

Kris Block
Jeffersonville, PA

Kris, thanks for the kind words. While we don't currently have any plans for restaurants in Philly, that could change. So, keep checking our website to see where we're opening next.

When I was younger, there was an Olga's in a nearby mall. I remember my mom used to take me there for lunch and I would get the broccoli soup and the peanut butter and jelly olga. I think my favorite part of the entire meal was the snackers! I think everytime I went to Olga's it was a 'favorite experience' because there was only one Olga's near where I lived. Sadly, that Olga's closed and I thought the entire business closed but it's great that I happened to search for this website. I'm so glad this chain is still around. Maybe I'll trek out to eat at one of the locations, or better yet maybe you'll expand your locations!

Tom
Princeton, New Jersey

Thanks for the kind words, Tom. Definitely let us know if you plan a trek to one of our restaurants. You're not alone in your love of Snackers™.

I always enjoy my afternoon getaway at Olga's in Taylor. I especially go for the chicken chili and Olga Bread. What a treat!!

Jay
Riverview, Michigan

We're all about people treating themselves to the finer things in life...especially when that includes eating at Olga's Kitchen, Jay. : )

Meeting Olga in the original Birmingham, MI restaurant in the 70's. She was a terrific personality who delighted in showing customers how to eat an Olga with just the right combination of spices!

Diane
Metamora, MI

Diane, you'll be happy to know some things never change. Olga still loves meeting and greeting guests at our restaurants. And, yes, there's very little that gives her more joy than showing her guests the perfect way to enjoy an Olga® Sandwich.

My favorite experience would be when olga's first introduced chicken chili or back when they had peachy lean muffins. They are/were both so delicious. I love the Jus About™ Fat Free muffins now as well and every time I eat them, they are amazing. I love the service I get at Lakeside Mall. They are always fast.

Karen Gibala
Fraser, Michigan

Karen, we have to agree, our muffins and White Bean Chicken Chili are amazing. Thanks for taking the time to let us know about the great service at Lakeside. We hope to serve you for many years to come.

IT ABOUT TO BECOME ONE! I will be turning 44 and the only thing I want for my birthday is that I go to eat at Olga's and the people I love the most that can make it are going to make it and all those times when I was younger being taken to Olga's will never leave me because I STILL WANT AN OLGA'S!!!!

Sam
WINDSOR, ONTARIO

Happy Birthday, Sam. We hope to celebrate many more with you in the years to come.

I am willing to travel over 50 miles to my favorite Olgas Kitchen in Lathrup Village. Congrats to the cooks at that Olgas and of course the manager. Thank you for the good food!!!

Karen Willms
Howell, Michigan

Karen, thank you for the kind words and the dedication you show in getting to your favorite Olga's Kitchen.

i just MISS them, I left MICH. in 1989 to WA.

jeremy
camano island, WA.

Jeremy...we miss you, too. We hope to serve you your favorite Olga food when you return to Michigan (or near any of other restaurants) for a visit.

My grandparents live in Farmington Hills and we visit every single summer. My cousins and I love to dress up crazy and then go out to eat. Our most favorite restaurant to eat is Olga's so we go there every year. Even though we look ridiculous and people stare, the waitresses and waiters are always very nice. They act like they don't even notice we are dressed like clowns. We put on all my grandma's old clothing, shoes, scarves, loud make-up and then we do our hair crazy. When we get to Olga's all we want is the delicious Olga bread. We LOVE it-and the curly fries. Dressing up crazy and going to Olga's to eat has become an annual tradition. We thank Olga's for always being so nice to us!!!

Eleni chechopoulos
Millbrae, Ca

And, thank you for making Olga's Kitchen a favorite family tradition. We look forward to serving you for many years to come.

I grew up near Rockford, IL. I would always eat at Olgas when it was in the Machesney Park Mall! Now, years later, I am married and have two young girl and live in Austin Texas. For some reason, all of a sudden I was CRAVING Olgas sandwich and fries!..Oh, Oh..does that mean number 3 is on the way??!! Please come to Austin, they would love you here!

Susan Malone
Cedar Park, TX

Susan, thanks for the kind words. Not sure whether the craving means number three is on the way or that you just have a great taste in food. Could be both. : )

My husband and I use to visit Olga's at least twice a week. That was when we lived in California. But now we llve in Nevada. They don't have an Olga's here. We would love for you to open a Olga's kitchen here in Gardnerville, Nevada.

Susan L. Patterson
Gardnerville, nv 89460

Susan, no plans right now for Nevada, but you never know what might happen in the future. Until then, we hope to have the opportunity to serve you at one of our restaurants, if travel brings you near one.

I grew up in the Westland area. Olga's was my absolute favorite place to eat. I took my kids there, and it's now their favorite. We live in Atlanta, GA now , and we miss Olga's so much. Every trip back home starts with a visit to our ALL-TIME favorite place..OLGA's.

John Mitchell
Hampton, GA

John, it's great to be the start of your visits back to Michigan. But, shouldn't we be the last stop, too? : )

boise, idaho

No plans for Boise, yet, Sandy. But, you never know! In the meantime, if travel brings you close to any of our restaurants, we look forward you to serving you.

GRILLED CHICKEN IN OLGA BREAD IS SO DELICIOUS!

THANKS SO MUCH

JUDITH STEINBERG
BOYNTON BEACH, FL

You're welcome. We couldn't have said it better! Thanks!!!

I haven't been able to enjoy Olga's in a very long time. I moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1994 and have only gotten to come back briefly for visits. I was able to fit in a lunch at Olga's when I was there in 1997 and it was wonderful! Folks here just don't know what good food is! I'm hoping to be back home soon and one of my first stops will be Olga's. I'm so glad you are still there in the Lansing Mall. It's really true that saying that goes "you don't know what you've got til it's gone" because know I know you are the best! Thanks!

Deborah

We'll be waiting for you, Deborah. Let us know when you're coming.

I lived near Alton, Il. for 20 years and friends and I would shop at Alton Square and eat at Olga's. If we worked it right we ate their twice in one day! When I go back to visit friends a trip to Olgas is the first thing we do.
Last weekend I was in Fairview Heights Il. with a friends for a short vacation. We planned our vacation around a trip to St. clair Square just to eat at Olgas, several times. Now my freezer is full of Olga's bread and muffins.
We NEED an Olga's kitchen in bloomington Normal, Illinois. the city is right on route 55 and is halfway between chicago and St. Louis. what a great place to stop and eat. we have a new mall that is crying for a great restaurant. PLEASE CONSIDER OPENING AN OLGA'S KITCHEN IN THE CENTRAL ILLINOIS AREA!!!!!

margaret
Normal, Illinois

Margaret, we're honored to have been a major part of your vacation plans. We look forward to seeing you again, once there's room in your freezer. : )

Most of the time when we go to Olga's, my grandchildren and myself. They really like your Olgabread and Olga hotdog. We wish you would build an Olga's in Brighton, Michigan so we could go more often.

Marie Peters
Commerce Twp, MI

Keep checking, Marie. One day we just may have an Olga's closer to you in Brighton. Until then, we look forward to seeing you and your grandchildren at one of our many metro Detoit area restaurants.

your gyro and your salad were 2 of the most outstanding things I'll ever have
everything has its own good flavor and is put together right

i have very fond memories about you and you are missed on the east coast.

Kyle Davidson

Thanks, Kyle. We hope you get the chance to make some new Olga's Kitchen memories in the near future.

I remember when Olga's was in the San Francisco Bay area--I worked at Olga's in Hayward, CA--circa 1988....Olga's is the best, oh how I miss the Chicken Fajita Olga!

Teresa Zamudio
Cape Coral, fl

Thanks, Teresa. Truth is, we agree! : )

Olgas has been one of my very favorite restaurnats since I was a kid. Each weekend my parents and I used to drive down to Birmingham to enjoy Olgas for lunch. Thanks for great food and the great memories!

Marissa Reynolds
Madison Heights, Michigan

Marissa, we look forward to making many more memories (and Olga® Sandwiches) in the future.
